I think they are good medium. Even the non-M X6 can corner very well, the few time I’ve driven my mom X6 I loved it. It has the smallest engine available (3L Turbo6), it still has plenty of punch. It also grips very well in the corners.
OPPO.
It one of the reasons I bought my Juke. It had ground clearance for light “off roading”, & winter, yet it went around a corner better then I thought it would. It’s no FiST, but can hold it’s own.

The X6 drives exactly the same as the X5 but with less cargo room, less rear headroom, and more looking stupid.

yeah... I lean that way too. Less useful and less enjoyable to drive than 5 series xdrive. But hey, it’s their money. I was behind a 50-ish lady in one of the turbo v8 M ones in that pretty bright blue the other day and she absolutely hammered it jumping across a couple lanes to get to the diamond lane and it sounded spectacular.

You forgot “costs more”. I think it starts $5k higher than the X5.

I bet she didn’t signal either. Of course, rules are for plebes, especially in this socio-economic reality.
What I mean to say is she no doubt worked hard for it, and should be able to enjoy it free from regulation or castigation.

There is nothing that a SCUV (because you can’t have a sporty sports utility vehicle) or a SBUV (because you clearly can have a sporty bloated utility vehicle) can do in general daily driver usage that an equivalent sedan or station wagon can not to.
This is apparently a CUV...or an SUV depending on the market you are in...
Actually it is a 2WD 5 door wagon with slightly above average ground clearance. Much like similar offerings from every other manufacturer.
It’s that increased ground clearance that seems to be the primary differentiation between ‘SUV’ and ‘light car’ and (like the Great Unwashed) that’s pretty dim.
As for ‘sporty’...not in a million years

I’ll give you a pass since you’re Canadian, but this would probably be BS for 90% of Americans.

I always took the sport as a shortened for sportsman. I don’t know the etymology of the word.

I’d happily substitute ‘stupid’ for the ‘sport’ but then it’d get confused with ‘sensible’.
Here’s a SUV (Stupid Utility Vehicle)
and here’s a SUV (Sensible Utility Vehicle)
...is it any wonder that we get confused?

Yes my mom is both of those.

There’s really only one benefit, and it’s not even important enough to BMW to recertify the thing - fuel economy.
Fuelly results indicate that the 2014-2017 X5 with a 3.0 gas engine burns 4.8-5.5 gallons per 100 miles, whereas the 2014-2017 X6 with the same engine burns 4.4-4.6 gallons per 100 miles (although with a small sample size).

i’d rather a Juke than a BMW X6

I wouldn’t put too much stock in user-reported data like that especially with a small sample size. The EPA ratings are identical and the specs on BMW’s site list the X6 as only 30 lbs lighter than the X5. The swoopy back might provide better aero but who knows?

Well you were responding to someone who persistently posts ugly crossovers, despite that horse beaten dead, eaten, carcass rotten as fertilizer, grown into grass and fed to another horse, and THAT horse beaten to death, and yet still posts ugly crossovers, lol.

Apparently, the X6 is actually worse.
Looks like the current X6 is 0.32 Cd:
http://www.bmwblog.com/2014/10/22/bmwblog-test-drive-2015-bmw-x6/
And the current X5 is 0.31 Cd (that might just be for the sDrive30d though): http://www.bmwblog.com/2013/05/30/review-2014-bmw-x5/
